What is a neon pigment?
Neon pigments are ultra-bright, fluorescent colorants that deliver bold, high-impact colour under normal light. Unlike mica, they don't add shimmer or pearlescence, they give pure, saturated colour.
Blue Shocker is cold-process stable and non-bleeding, so your colour stays crisp and vivid.
Is it ethical?

Will it bleed or morph in soap?
No. Blue Shocker is cold-process stable and non-bleeding, so it holds its bright neon blue without migrating into neighbouring colours or fading over time.
What can I use Blue Shocker in?
It's FDA-approved for external use and the eye area, but not for lips or bath products, as it contains ultramarine. Blue Shocker shines in cold process and melt & pour soap, wax melts, resin and other craft projects. Check the safety tags and the Product specs panel above for exactly what this colour is approved for.
Can I use it in candles?
We don't recommend pigments in wicked candles, as they can clog the wick and affect the burn. It's perfect for wickless candles and wax melts, where it adds bold colour with no flame to worry about.
Can I use it in wax melts?
Yes. With no wick to clog, wax melts are a great home for Blue Shocker, it delivers vivid colour as the melt liquifies, especially in clear waxes.
My pigment is not dispersing evenly in my soap?
Pre-disperse the pigment in a little oil (like sweet almond or fractionated coconut) before adding it, and blend well. For melt & pour, mix it into a little isopropyl alcohol first. A stick blender helps break up any clumps for an even, streak-free colour.
