frequently asked

How do I use it?

Melt the base gently, stir through your lip balm flavour once it is fully liquid, then pour into your tubes or pots and leave to set. A filling tray holds 50 wind-up tubes upright so your fills stay level and mess free. Always make a small test batch first to dial in your flavour strength.

Can I colour my lip balm?

Yes, with lip-safe mica blends. Do not use candle dyes or dye chips, they are not made for use on lips.

Is it vegan?

No. The base contains Cera Alba (beeswax), so it is suitable for vegetarian formulations but not vegan ones. It is not tested on animals.

Are there any allergens I should know about?

Yes. The base contains sweet almond oil (a tree nut) and wheat germ oil (a source of gluten). If you are selling your balms, list the full ingredient line on your labels so your customers can check it.

Which size should I buy?

The 100g is the easy way to trial a flavour or run a market batch. The 1kg and 5kg drop the price per kilo, so they suit regular production runs. All three are the same base, only the pack size changes.
