Burn diameters are measured with a freely burning wick in unscented Wickii 100% soy wax. Fragrance load, dye, wax type and vessel shape all shift the ideal size — always test before a full batch.

frequently asked

Which wood wick size do I need?

Match the wick's rated burn diameter to your vessel's inside diameter using the size guide above. A 15 mm wick burns to ~60 mm, 20 mm to ~80 mm, 25 mm to ~90 mm and 30 mm to ~105 mm. Burn diameters are measured in unscented Wickii 100% soy wax — fragrance, dye and wax type all shift the result, so test on either side of your range.

Do wood wicks need a stand or clip?

Each wick ships with a metal tab (clip) attached. Slide the wood wick into the tab, then secure the tab to the base of your vessel with a wick sticker so it stays centred and upright while you pour.

What wax do wood wicks suit?

They work with soy, soy blends, beeswax, palm and paraffin. Firmer waxes hold the flame best — very soft coconut blends can drown a wood wick, so size up or choose a firmer wax if the flame struggles.

My wood wick won't stay lit — what's wrong?

Most often the wick is too long or sitting in too much wax. Once the wax has fully set, trim to ~10 mm above the surface, brush away any charred wood, and relight. If it still drowns, move one size up.

Do they really crackle?

Yes — these uncoated natural wood wicks give a soft, fireplace-style crackle as they burn. The volume varies a little with wax type and fragrance load.
