Eco Cotton Wick
Pre-tabbed, self-trimming 100% cotton wicks for a clean, consistent burn in natural soy and coconut candles.
Our Eco series wicks are flat, coreless 100% cotton wicks woven with thin paper filaments for rigidity and a controlled, self-trimming curl. Supplied pre-waxed and crimped to a metal sustainer tab, they're engineered for natural waxes - giving a clean, minimal mushrooming burn. Always test, as performance varies with wax, fragrance load, vessel and colour.

🕯️ Soy wax is relatively firm and can tunnel if under-wicked. If a proper first burn doesn't reach the glass after about 2–3 hours, test one wick size up.
A starting point only. Burn behaviour shifts with wax type, fragrance load, dye and vessel shape. Always test before a full batch.
frequently asked
Which wick size do I need?
Match the wick to your vessel's inside diameter using the size guide above. When in doubt, test the size on either side of your range. Wax type, fragrance load and dye all shift the ideal size.
Are these wicks suitable for soy wax?
Yes. Eco series wicks are engineered for natural waxes like soy and coconut, giving a clean, self-trimming burn with a full melt pool.
Do I need to prime these wicks?
No. They're supplied pre-waxed and crimped to a sustainer tab, ready to use straight away.
How do I stop mushrooming and soot?
Sizing down slightly and trimming to ~5 mm before each burn reduces mushrooming. Eco wicks are low-soot by design, but always test your specific wax and fragrance combination.
