Braided Pillar Candle Cotton Wick
Uncoated 100% braided cotton wick for pillar and moulded candles, in three sizes covering candles 20mm to 60mm wide. Sold by the metre so you cut it to your mould.
Wickii's braided pillar wick is 100% cotton and uncoated, so it stays soft enough to thread through a mould and pull taut. It is sold by the metre and supplied untabbed, so you cut it to whatever your mould needs.
Use the size guide to match a wick to the width of your finished candle, then pick your length. Sizes run from 20M for slim tapers and votives up to 30M for wide statement pillars.

Burn diameters are tested in soy wax and are a starting point only. Wax type, fragrance load, dye and mould shape all change how a wick performs, so always test burn before a full batch.

Which wick size do I need?
Match the wick to the width of your finished candle, not to the height of the mould. Use the guide above, and if your candle sits between two sizes, pour one of each and compare the melt pool after a full first burn.

Can I use these in jars and tins?
These are untabbed and uncoated, which suits pillars and candles poured into a mould. For candles poured into a jar or tin, use the pre-tabbed M series cotton wick, which comes crimped to a sustainer tab and ready to centre.
Does it come with a tab?
No. It is sold untabbed so you can cut it to length. To use an offcut in a container candle, crimp a metal wick tab onto the end, then anchor it with a dab of Stickums.

How do I hold the wick in the mould?
Thread it through the base of your mould, seal the hole, then pull taut at the top. Mould wick pins keep it centred while the wax sets, and a dab of Stickums anchors the base.
