Using Foaming Bath Whip Base

Using Foaming Bath Whip Base

Foaming bath whip base is a beautiful product to work with and you’ll end up making so many different creations. Our foaming bath whip is Australian made using high quality Australian ingredients. None of the ingredients or products are tested on animals.

It is an incredibly flexible product, and you can create simple whipped foaming bath butters, a sugar scrub, a body soufflé, or a salt scrub, all from one product base. It gives you the perfect opportunity to get creative, experiment and make products unique to your business. So, let’s give you the run down on how to use it.

When taking the base out of the container, ensure you use an entire cross-section, don’t just take from the top. The base tends to become more viscous at the bottom and you’ll want to mix this altogether.

Recommended Extras Loadings

  • Fragrance Oils maximum 2%
  • Essential Oils maximum 1%
  • Sugar and Salt Exfoliants maximum 60%

Option 1: Whipping

What you need:

Method

  1. Firstly, select a container or bowl which will hold over double the amount of base you are going to put in it.
  2. Weigh out your foaming bath whip base into your bowl. You’ll then add your fragrance oil (2% maximum loading) or your essential oils (1% maximum loading). If you are using colour, this is when you add it in too. Always make sure you use body safe colouring.
  3. Then, using your hand mixer, beat it until it begins to look like whipped frosting.
  4. If you are adding sugar or salts as an exfoliant, add them in at the end, folding into your mixture with a silicone spatula. Afterwards, using the hand mixer again, beat until you reach your desired consistency.
  5. Let rest for 5 minutes and then divide the mixture into your prepared tubs or tubes.

Due to the consistency of this soap base, it will remain soft and buttery and should be packed in tubes or tubs. It is not mouldable.

  • Thermometer
  • Fragrance Oils or Essentials Oils
